7. Design Features

  • Floating Ball, Bidirectional Seal: The ball moves downstream under pressure, compressing against the downstream seat for a tight seal in either flow direction.

  • Self-Relieving Cavity: The upstream seat relieves excess cavity pressure automatically to the pipeline, eliminating the need for an external relief valve in most applications.

  • Anti-Blowout Stem: The stem features an integral shoulder inside the body, preventing ejection under pressure.

  • Anti-Static Device: Spring-loaded conductive elements between stem-ball and ball-body ensure static electricity dissipation.

  • Low Operating Torque: Optimized stem and seat geometry keeps breakaway torque low, allowing easy manual operation and smaller actuators.

  • Full Bore: Standard full-bore design minimizes pressure drop and allows pigging.

  • ISO 5211 Ready: The integral top flange accepts standard pneumatic or electric actuators without additional brackets.

8. Application Scope

  • Suitable Media: Water, steam (limited by seat), oils, gases, mild acids, alkalis, solvents, and many chemicals compatible with 316 stainless steel and PTFE.

  • Temperature Range: -29 °C to +120 °C continuous (PTFE seats); body rated down to -29 °C and up to +300 °C (seats are limiting factor).

  • Industries: Chemical processing, water treatment, food and beverage, pharmaceutical, general industrial, marine, HVAC.

  • Key Advantages:

    • 316 stainless steel body and trim offer excellent corrosion resistance.

    • Compact, lightweight design compared to gate valves.

    • Quarter-turn quick operation with clear visual position indication.

    • Simple two-piece bolted construction facilitates inline maintenance.

9. Optional Configurations & Accessories
