1. General Description

This is a 20-inch, Class 600, three-piece side-entry, trunnion-mounted ball valve with raised face (RF) flanged ends. The valve body is of cast construction. The trunnion design absorbs thrust loads on the ball through trunnion bearings, significantly reducing operating torque and making it ideal for high-pressure, large-bore isolation applications. The three-piece design allows in-line maintenance: the center body with internals can be removed without dismounting the pipe flanges.

6. Design & Manufacturing Features

3-Piece Side-Entry Construction: The center body can be removed independently for servicing seats and seals without removing pipe flanges.
Trunnion-Mounted Ball: Fixed trunnion absorbs thrust loads, minimizing stem and seal friction for low torque and superior large-bore performance.
Double Block & Bleed (DBB): Dual seats with body cavity vent/drain. Allows independent sealing verification and cavity depressurization.
Anti-Blowout Stem: Stem with integral shoulder, internally loaded; prevents stem ejection per API 6D requirements.
Fire-Safe Design (Optional): Metal secondary seat provides metal-to-metal sealing after soft seal burn-out, compliant with API 607/6FA.
Low-Maintenance Packing: V-ring live-loaded packing self-adjusts for long life and low friction.
Cast Body: Fully NDE inspected (RT/UT) to ensure integrity; cost-effective for large sizes.

100% API 6D pressure tests: Shell (1.5× rated), high-pressure seat (1.1×), optional cavity relief and low-pressure air seat tests.
Cast body chemical and mechanical reports provided; RT/UT/PT NDE reports available.
Standard docs: Material certs, test reports, CoC, I&M manual. EN 10204 3.1 upon request.
Carbon steel bodies painted with anti-rust; flange faces protected.

Seat Material: Standard PTFE for -29~200 °C. Specify reinforced PTFE, PEEK, or metal seats for higher temperatures or abrasive media.
Bore Type: Full bore is standard. Reduced bore may be offered for cost reduction.
Actuation: Gearbox is standard. For electric/pneumatic actuation, provide control details, stroking time, and area classification.
Cavity Vent/Drain: Standard on trunnion ball valves, enabling online pressure equalization.
