TECHNICAL DATA SHEET

BELLOWS SEAL GLOBE VALVE – WCB BODY

DN100 PN25 · RAISED FACE FLANGED ENDS

1. GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Heavy-duty globe valve featuring a metallic bellows seal as the primary stem sealing element, backed by a conventional stuffing box (secondary packing). The rising stem (outside screw and yoke – OS&Y) design provides visual position indication. This construction guarantees zero emissions to atmosphere and is ideal for steam, thermal oil, and other industrial fluids where fugitive emission control is critical. The valve body, bonnet, and main pressure-boundary parts are manufactured from ASTM A216 WCB (1.0619) carbon steel.

2. DESIGN STANDARDS

Parameter Standard / Specification
Valve design & manufacture EN 13709 / ASME B16.34
Bellows design EN 1491 / AD 2000 Merkblatt A11
Face-to-face dimension EN 558-1, Series 1 (350 mm)
Flange connection EN 1092-1 Type B1, PN25 RF
Pressure testing & inspection EN 12266-1 Category A
Marking EN 19

3. MATERIALS OF CONSTRUCTION

Component Material
Body ASTM A216 WCB (1.0619) / Carbon steel
Bonnet ASTM A216 WCB / Carbon steel
Disc AISI 420 (13Cr) stainless steel, seating face Stellite® overlaid
Seat ring AISI 420 (13Cr) + Stellite® faced, threaded-in & renewable
Stem ASTM A276 SS410 / SS304
Stem nut (yoke bush) ASTM B148 C95800 (Ni-Al bronze)
Bellows Multi-ply AISI 316L (1.4404) or AISI 321
Secondary packing set Pure graphite / PTFE braided
Body-bonnet gasket Spiral wound SS304 + Graphite
Bonnet gasket Stainless steel reinforced graphite (fire-safe)
Bolting ASTM A193 B7 / A194 2H (carbon steel, heavy hex)
Handwheel Ductile iron, epoxy coated

4. PRESSURE – TEMPERATURE RATINGS

Based on EN 1092-1, material group 1EO (WCB / 1.0619), PN25

Temperature (°C) Max. working pressure (bar)
-10 to 50 25.0
100 24.2
150 22.6
200 21.1
250 19.4
300 17.5
350 15.8

Intermediate values should be determined in accordance with EN 1092-1. Bellows life is influenced by the combined effect of pressure, temperature, stroke and cycle frequency.

5. TESTING & INSPECTION

Test type Test medium Test pressure Acceptance criteria
Shell (body) test Water 37.5 bar (1.5×PN) No visible leakage or deformation
Seat test Water 27.5 bar (1.1×PN) Rate A – zero leakage per EN 12266-1
Bellows tightness test Air / Helium 6 bar (pneumatic) Max. leak rate: < 1×10⁻³ mbar·l/s (helium)
Secondary packing test Water Static pressure No visible leakage during shell test

Standard NDE includes visual, dimensional checks, and pressure tests. PMI, dye penetrant, and helium leak detection are performed as standard on bellows components.
