Description

Top Entry Floating Ball Valve – DN25 PN25, Socket Weld, Close Die Forged Carbon Steel

Model: TE-FBV-DN25-PN25-SW-CS
Product Description: Top entry (top-loaded), close die forged, floating ball valve with socket weld ends. The one-piece body design allows all internal components (ball, seats, stem) to be removed from the top without disturbing the pipe connections, enabling true in-line maintenance. Ideal for high-pressure, high-temperature oil, gas, and chemical applications where minimal downtime is critical.

7. Design Features

  • Top Entry In-Line Maintenance: The entire valve internals (ball, seats, stem) are extracted from the top by removing a single threaded retainer or bolted cover. This allows service without cutting the pipe or removing the valve, drastically reducing downtime.

  • Close Die Forged Body: The one-piece body is produced from close die forgings, providing uniform grain flow, superior strength, and no casting defects. This enhances safety and extends service life in high-pressure cycling.

  • Floating Ball & Bidirectional Seal: The ball shifts downstream to compress the seat, ensuring a tight seal in both flow directions. The upstream seat automatically relieves over-pressure in the body cavity.

  • Anti-Blowout Stem: The stem is loaded from inside the body and features an integral shoulder that bears against the body, preventing ejection even if the gland is removed.

  • Anti-Static Device: Conductive springs ensure electrical continuity, preventing static charge accumulation during operation.

  • Self-Relieving Cavity: Excess cavity pressure caused by thermal expansion vents past the upstream seat into the pipeline.

  • Socket Weld Ends: Provide a clean, permanent leak-tight connection ideal for compact piping where flanges are impractical.

8. Application Scope

  • Suitable Media: Water, steam, oil, natural gas, and non-corrosive hydrocarbons compatible with carbon steel and PTFE.

  • Temperature Range: -29 °C to +150 °C (PTFE seats); body rated to +300 °C (seats limit).

  • Industries: Petrochemical, power generation, oil & gas, district heating, chemical processing, steam lines.

  • Key Advantages:

    • In-line maintenance reduces total cost of ownership.

    • Close die forged body provides exceptional integrity and a compact footprint.

    • Full bore design minimizes pressure drop and allows pigging.

    • Quarter-turn quick operation with clear visual position indication.

9. Optional Configurations & Accessories

  • Seat Materials: RTFE (15% glass-filled PTFE), PEEK (up to 260 °C body permitting), TFM, Devlon, metal-seated (with Stellite overlay).
