Globe Valves Open Die Forged—1/2″ 4500LB BW
Description
Globe Valves Open Die Forged — 1/2″ 4500LB BW
TECHNICAL DATA SHEET
1. General Description
This is a 1/2-inch, Class 4500, open die forged body, bolted bonnet, butt-weld end globe valve. The body is manufactured using the open die forging process. The disc and seat seating faces are hardfaced with Stellite alloy, making it suitable for ultra-high pressure and high temperature isolation and regulation services. The non-rotating, anti-blowout stem design ensures operational safety and long packing life. Compact in structure, it is widely used for high-temperature, high-pressure drain, vent, instrument isolation, and bypass systems in ultra-supercritical thermal power plants.

6. Design & Manufacturing Features
Open Die Forged Body: Complete grain flow and dense microstructure without casting defects provide exceptional ultra-high-pressure capability and excellent fatigue and creep resistance.
High-Pressure Sealing: Both disc and seat seating faces are hardfaced with Stellite alloy for high hardness, wear resistance, and erosion resistance, ensuring zero leakage and extended service life.
Non-Rotating, Anti-Blowout Stem: The stem only moves up and down without rotation, protecting the packing from wear. An integral anti-blowout shoulder ensures safety under high pressure, meeting ASME B16.34 requirements.
Renewable Seat Ring: The seat ring is threaded into the body and can be quickly replaced in the field if the seating surface is worn, significantly reducing maintenance costs.
Low-Maintenance Packing: Flexible graphite V-ring packing offers high-temperature resistance and self-lubrication. A spherically faced, self-aligning gland maintains uniform compression for long-term sealing.
Compact Design: Short face-to-face dimension is ideal for installation in high-pressure lines with space limitations.
7. Pressure-Temperature Ratings Reference
(ASME B16.34, A105 Material, Class 4500)
Service Temperature (°C) Max. Allowable Working Pressure (MPa.g)
-29 ~ 38 51.7
100 50.1
200 47.5
300 44.8
400 41.4
425 40.7
*Note: Values for reference only. Exact ratings per ASME B16.34 latest edition. For service temperatures exceeding 425 °C, select F22 or F91 Cr-Mo steel body material.*
